[Korea, Daegu] Unter Coffee

SLOW-POINT

Immaculate. A palette of beige, wood tones, and low-saturation hues blends naturally against the white walls. Nothing stands out as preserving the harmony; instead, the entire space is captured by the eye as a single, cohesive painting.

It feels as though someone chose their favorite colors and scattered them freely across a white canvas. Occasional splashes of orange and blue catch the eye, relieving the space of any potential monotony.

To the left of the entrance sits seating for two; to the right, seating for four. Behind a shelf that acts as a partition, and up a slight step, is another area for pairs, with the restroom located just beside it.

It is a welcoming spot for those needing a place to study, work, or simply engage in quiet conversation. The chairs and tables are set at just the right height, and there is ample surface area for your belongings.

ORDER

Lime Americano

It has a funk scent of a belly button. It feels like something that shouldn’t taste good, yet it does. The signature tartness and sharp acidity of lime subtly permeate the bitterness and aroma of the coffee, creating a strange yet harmonious blend.

Cucumber Toast

“What on earth is this?”. I can’t see a trace of tuna—not even 1/300th of an ant’s antenna—yet the taste is unmistakably tuna. One might call it a light tuna sandwich that captures the aroma of the fish without the oiliness.

FAST-POINT

Because it is situated right next to the roadway and features a full curtain wall facade, the glass may rattle when the wind blows hard, or it might get a bit noisy when heavy vehicles pass by.

Seating is limited, so you may not find a spot during peak hours. Additionally, as the walls and furniture are made of materials that bounce sound, it might be difficult to hear the person across from you if voices are raised.

MID-CENTURY MODERN

The Mid-Century Modern style, which prioritizes simplicity and functionality, shines here. Both the chairs and tables guarantee heights suitable for the human body and surface areas practical for use. There are no decorations that feel unnecessary or uncomfortable.

Furniture utilizing metal and wood ensures durability, while the contrast in materiality adds style to the space. The vintage charm emanating from the Alvar Aalto-style furniture—minimalist yet warm—blends perfectly with the atmosphere.
